Good Friday Tennebrae

Good Friday Tenebrae Service
April 19 at 8pm

Good Friday worship will take the form of a Service of Tenebrae, or "Darkness." Tenebrae worship is based on a twelfth century late night/early morning service and is an extended meditation on the passion of Christ, as found in the Gospel of St. John. As the sanctuary becomes progressively darker, the scriptural story of Jesus’ betrayal, arrest, trial, and crucifixion unfold allowing worshipers to wonder anew at the wondrous passion Christ has to redeem the world.

In order to ensure that the sanctuary is dark, please note that this service begins at 8:00pm.
