Discussion on Statewide Issue 1 – Voting to Reduce Penalties for Crimes of Obtaining, Possessing, and Using Illegal Drugs

There is only one statewide issue on the Ohio ballot this year. King Avenue UMC member and Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Richard A. Frye will offer some perspectives about its potential impact. There will be time for questions, comments, and dialogue.

Retired United Methodist Pastor, Mike Mahoney, will lead a 10-week study beginning Wednesday October 10th from 7 to 8:30 PM. It is based on the book If The Church Were Christian: Rediscovering the Values of Jesus by Philip Gulley.

Setup
: Sunday, October 21 – Thursday, October 25 
Sale: Friday, October 26 (9:00-3:00) and Saturday, October 27 (9:00-1:30)
United Methodist Women want YOU to fill volunteer positions in preparation for our upcoming sale. Setup begins on Sunday, October 21, right after second service in Fellowship Hall. Set up continues on Monday, October 22, thru Thursday, October 25. Hours are 9 am – 3 pm, and 6 pm – 8pm.

Open Shelter Lunch Packing Dates
Tuesdays:  October 30, November 27, December 25 2018
Thursdays:  October 18, November 15, December 20
  
Serve Breakfast at Gates Fourth UMC, 8:30-10:00 
4-5 volunteers serve food and wash dishes on the fourth and fifth Saturdays of every month from 8:30-10:00 at Gates Fourth UMC. Gates Fourth is located at 119 E Gates St, Columbus OH, 43206.

All-church lunches are generally the last Sunday of the month in Fellowship Hall at noon. It is free to eat, but a free will offering is welcome. All are welcome to the table!
