Mission Christmas

November 22, 2017

The Missions Ministry Team is gearing up for Mission: Christmas, King Avenue's Alternative Giving Experience. This year we are going to focus on four Mission Opportunities. Our dates for the alternative giving offering are December 3 and 10.  Giving tables will be set up before and after each service in the Fellowship Hall and Milling Area respectively.
Our plan is simple: We will have special Mission Christmas envelopes printed with opportunities to give to one of the four new KAUMC-mission opportunities. They will be...
  • CASA of Franklin County: CASA of Franklin County’s mission is to provide a powerful and consistent voice in court for the innocent child victims of abuse and neglect
  • CHOICES: For Victims of Domestic Violence
  • Greater Hilltop Shalom Zone: An Energetic Movement for Justice, Peacemaking, and Renewal of Columbus’ Hilltop Community
  • Stonewall Columbus Refugee Resettlement Program: For Outreach and Support to the LGBT refugee community
You will place an amount next to each mission to which you want to contribute, and enclose a check or cash in that amount in the envelope. The envelope will ask you to include your name and e-mail address. The church will provide gift cards for each donation which can be picked up at the Mission Christmas table in the milling area of the church after each service. You will be responsible for mailing out the gift cards to the gift recipient.
The Mission Christmas envelopes will be stuffed in Sunday morning bulletins December 3rd, 10th, and 17th.
