Roots & Wings Parenting Workshop & Chip Richter Concert
Roots and Wings : A workshop for Moms, Dads, Grandparents and anyone interested in building a foundation of “faith” in our children.
Roots and Wings will introduce parents and grandparents to some very creative and practical ways to pass their faith on to their children and grandchildren. Using Deuteronomy 6:6-9 as a blueprint for creating a faith plan for your family, Chip offers some practical real life applications to creating an environment for our children to both grow in their faith ("Roots") and live their faith beyond the walls of the home ("Wings"). Parents will learn how to have "devotions in disguise" and practical ways to engage and encourage children with scripture and prayer. As parents, we all want our kids to have the "Roots" to keep them connected (John 15:5; Psalm 1:1-3) and the "Wings" to take them where we have only dreamed of going (Isaiah 40:31). The Roots and Wings Workshop can be a great resource for parents, caregivers and grandparents looking to do just that.
Roots and Wings Workshop will be held from 10am-12pm, followed by an opportunity to enjoy lunch as a group. After lunch, we will have the joy of a Family Concert by Chip Richter to create a wonderful day of ministry, instruction, encouragement, fun and entertainment for the whole family. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to join you for a day at King Avenue! During the workshop, there will be childcare provided for children up to age Grade 3. Advanced registration is required.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE for Workshop is March 8th. Minimum of 6 registrations is required or event is subject to cancellation.
At 1:30pm, the Fellowship Hall will be filled with music by award-winning musician Chip Richter for a Family Concert made for kids 0-99! You may know Chip as the fun-loving leader of the GOD SQUAD at Lakeside, as well as his national tours around towns spreading messages of love and friendship through music.
