All STARS - Grade 6 - 8 & D.O.R.K.S. - Grade 9 - 12

We are proud to say King Avenue teens are D.O.R.K.S. While it may sound unflattering, it’s quite the opposite. Our youth group meets in support of its mission: Developing Opportunities, Responsibility, Knowledge, and Spirituality. And they enjoy every minute of it. 

 

 

All youth in grades 8 - 12 may join in D.O.R.K.S. activities. All youth in grades 5 - 7 participate in "All Stars" activities.  Exciting fall activities include:

Sunday School from 10:00am - 10:45 am.  The All Stars will use Grapple ™ a new Sunday school curriculum which offers an online community throughout the week.  These lessons dig into the Bible to grapple with faith and life issues.  The D.O.R.K.S. will use the Faithweaver© lessons.  These lessons provide activities, discussions and personal challenges. 

 
Upcoming Events

Sunday, September 12 - Sunday School Kick-Off. All Youth will meet their new teachers during the Sunday School hour. Following 11 am worship, the Youth will depart for lunch.

 

Sunday, September 15 - Open Table Fellowship Night begins and runs through October 27. 

Do you want to give your time and gifts to King Avenue's children? Then you need to complete the Volunteer Form and give the completed copy to April Olt, Children and Youth Coordinator.
