Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family.  Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.  ~Jane Howard

We couldn’t agree more. Families can be defined in infinite ways. We honor all definitions and are proud of our congregation’s diversity. We host a variety of support opportunities that celebrate the family.

F.A.N – Our Family Adoption Network was created to support those starting the adoption process as well as those who have already adopted successfully. The network is a family of individuals who recognize the tumultuous process by providing support and love.

But family ministries need not always be an educational pursuit. We believe families that learn and play together through meaningful activities bond in a most meaningful way so we worked hard to provide our congregation with a variety of opportunities to do just that.

Summer Academy – This is King Avenue’s adaptation of the traditional Vacation Bible School experience. The Summer Academy takes place on Wednesday evenings for 4 weeks in July and August. Toddlers, pre-teens, teens and adults are welcomed and encouraged to participate.

Family Camp – In August, King Avenue families pack up and travel to Camp Otterbein for the weekend for fellowship, hiking, and worship.
