For six Wednesday nights, March 13 – April 17, 7pm in the Fireside Room, John Keeny will lead Short Stories by Jesus.  The series will be based on Amy-Jill Levine’s book by the same name.  Levine is a professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Vanderbilt.  She describes herself as a “Yankee Jewish feminist who teaches in a predominantly Christian divinity school in the buckle of the Bible Belt.”  Suffice it to say, she brings a fresh perspective to our understanding of the parables.
