Exploring the Journey and Responding to Our Call Adult Study Class
Wednesdays, September 11 – November 20 at 7:00pm

The Companions in Christ Series will be the focus of an adult Bible study beginning September 11, 2019 and ending on November 20, 2019. We will cover two different topics in the series this fall. We will meet  Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 P.M.

The first topic, Embracing the Journey: The Way of Christ focuses on an exploration of spiritual formation as an individual and corporate journey toward wholeness and holiness through the grace of God. The areas of focus will be:
  • Feeding on the Word (scripture)
  • Deepening Our Prayer (prayer)
  • Responding to Our Call (vocation)
  • Exploring Spiritual Guidance (spiritual companionship)

The second topic of the series will be Responding to Our Call: The Work of Christ examines the meaning of discipleship and how obedience leads to the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Reflect on Christ's call in your life and discover anew the gifts that God is giving you for living out your personal ministry. The areas of study will be:
  • Embracing the Journey (spiritual formation)
  • Feeding on the Word (scripture)
  • Deepening Our Prayer (prayer)
  • Exploring Spiritual Guidance (spiritual companionship)

Two different books will need to be purchased for the class.
Companions in Christ Series:
– Embracing the Journey, Participant's Book, Vol. 1 by Rueben P. Job, Marjorie J. Thompson
– Responding to Our Call, Participant's Book, Vol. 4 by Gerrit Scott Dawson
