Magpie Consort
May 18, 2025, 3:00 pm Sunday, May 18 One for Sorrow, Two for Joy, celebrating 25 years of the Magpie Consort At King Avenue United Methodist Church, on Sunday May 12, 3 pm, the 16 singers of the Magpie Consort (magpieconsort.org) bring you a feast of choral music from the Americas, the British Isles, the Middle East, India, and Africa. Choral classics, dance songs, love songs, folk songs, spirituals, and more. With piano interludes by the wonderful Phil Brown Dupont, a trove of little known facts about magpies, and audience participation - including the making of a 'magpie bridge' across the Milky Way (as told in Chinese legend).
