Generosity is more than what we give. It is how we live—how we use our time, our gifts, our resources, and our lives to put our faith into action.
This fall, join us for a special three-part sermon series as we explore what it means to love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously in our church, our community, and our everyday lives.

Dear King Avenue Family,
Each year, we invite our King Avenue family to prayerfully consider a financial commitment to support our church’s ministries and mission. Our annual stewardship campaign is more than an invitation to give. It is an invitation to live our faith more fully, to Love Boldly, Serve Joyfully, and Lead Courageously. Together, we are called by God’s reconciling grace to open doors, welcome all people, and create new opportunities for ministry. Your generosity supports our mission: To Invite, Welcome, and Honor ALL People and Nurture Them to Grow In Service with Christ.

Our 2027 budget is approximately $1.1 million. Your commitment will help us continue this important work.
WE LOVE BOLDLY! We open our hearts and doors to people of every age, background, identity, and life experience. Through inclusive worship, Rainbow Connections, youth ministries, and fellowship, we create a sanctuary where everyone is welcomed, valued, and loved. God’s love has no limits, and neither should ours.
WE SERVE JOYFULLY! Our faith comes alive through service. From feeding hungry neighbors and supporting families in need to partnering with NNEMAP, building homes, and nurturing young people, we put Christ’s love into action. Every meal served, every hand extended, and every act of kindness makes God’s love visible.
WE LEAD COURAGEOUSLY! We stand for justice, embrace inclusion, and speak for those whose voices are too often unheard. Through worship, education, Confirmation, and spiritual reflection, we nurture faith and strive to be a church that doesn’t simply talk about God’s love, but demonstrates it through courageous action.
As we enter this season of stewardship, we ask you to prayerfully consider your support of King Avenue. This campaign is not about funding a budget. It is about investing in a community of faith that is changing lives, including our own. Generosity expresses our gratitude and trust in God’s abundance. Every gift, regardless of size, sustains our ministries, strengthens our community, and extends Christ’s love into the world.

To love boldly is to live the gospel out loud. Not just believe it. Live it. In our bodies, in our actions, in our words, even when it’s uncomfortable. Even when it’s inconvenient. The Spirit calls us to freedom and wholeness for all.
For decades, King Avenue UMC has loved boldly. We have stood in the gaps. We have advocated for the least, the last, and the lost.
Your generosity is how that love gets hands and feet.

Serving joyfully means responding to God’s abundance, humility, and joy. We serve with freedom, because we know our worth is not in our performance. It is in our belonging to God.
When we serve from the abundance of God, we are transformed, as individuals and as a community. Joyful service connects. It invites everyone to show up with their gifts, no matter how big or small, and to trust that their offering matters.
We serve within the walls of the church, and beyond them, in our community. It’s about presence: showing up again and again, and trusting God to multiply what we offer.

Leading courageously means engaging the world as it is. It is public discipleship, rooted in our tradition of social holiness and lived out in local, visible, justice-seeking action.
Jesus healed individuals, and he healed systems. So we challenge exploitative practices and corrupted power. “Good news for the poor” means economic, social, and political justice.
We align ourselves with God’s kin-dom, which stands in contrast to dominating empire. We lead by inviting transformation, shared dignity, and radical love. Peace through justice and compassion. We do all of this, and more, as we follow the risen Christ out of the sanctuary and into the world.
