First Sundays
On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Communion together as a church family. We value this time of gathering around the table and want to ensure that children and volunteers are able to worship alongside their families.
No Worship Connections — children are invited to attend worship with their families.
Sunday School Hour — Family Godly Play in the Chapel.
Celebration of Holy Communion
On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Holy Communion.
As you come forward, you will receive a piece of gluten-free bread and a small cup of grape juice.
ALL are welcome at Christ's Communion table. Come exactly as you are!
If you prefer not to receive Communion, that is completely okay, and if you would like to receive a blessing instead, you are warmly invited to do so.
ASL interpreters are present during worship on the first Sunday of every month.

Hearing Loop
King Avenue Hearing Loop
As part of the Comprehensive Campaign in 2021, King Avenue has purchased hearing loops in the Sanctuary, Fellowship Hall, and Chapel so you can hear better! Hearing loops improve hearing aids! Digital hearing aids have significantly improved in the last decade, but they do not restore hearing to normal. Difficulties often remain when in challenging listening situations. Hearing loops help hearing aid users and others overcome this problem by broadcasting sound directly to the hearing aid without background noise or reverberation.
What is a hearing loop and how does it work?
Hearing Loops allow people who wear hearing aids to directly receive the sound from the PA system in their own hearing aids without having to pick up a separate listening device.
Do you use hearing aids?
If you wear hearing instruments you will need to find out if your hearing aids have the wireless receiver called a T-coil or Telecoil in order to hear better with the hearing loops in our facilities. The T-coil program is accessed by pushing a button on a hearing aid. This T-coil program has to be activated by your audiologist. Talk to your audiologist to find out if your instruments can have both a T (no background noise pick up) and an MT program (blended micro-phone & T-coil program).
Headset receivers are available for those without T-coil hearing aids.
For questions about your hearing aids and telecoils talk to your audiologist To learn more about hearing loops visit: www.hearingloop.org or www.brownaudioservice.com
