King Avenue UMC Lay Leaders
We are thankful for those in our church who not only get involved in our important ministries, but also take on a leadership role within their groups. Here are the ministries of our church, a brief description of each ministry, and a listing of the chairpersons. King Avenue UMC Administrative Committees (Fall 2023)
Administrative Council
Chairperson – Roy Clark
Our Administrative Council is made up of the chairs of the various Administrative Committees and the leaders of King Avenue’s various ministry areas. They collectively envision, plan, implement, and evaluate the ministry of King Avenue UMC.
Trustees
Chairperson – Gary Miller
Our Trustees supervise, oversee, and take care of all real estate and physical property owned by King Avenue. They also ensure the church is adequately insured.
Staff-Pastor Parish Relations Committee (SPRC)
Chairperson – Julie Hazelbaker
Our SPRC hires and supports the staff; conducts evaluations with the staff and pastors; interfaces with the Olentangy River District upon a new pastoral appointment.
Finance Committee
Chairperson – Scott Staron
Our Finance Committee oversees King Avenue’s finances to ensure that all the money we receive is being used to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
