Invitation to the Old Testament - Bible Study
Whether you’re new to the Christian faith or have been a good Methodist for 80 years, most of us don’t know the bible as well as we would like, and for many the Old Testament seems so troubling that they would rather forget about it all together.  Thankfully the good folks that brought us the Disciple bible studies have created an 8 week program that helps us to find the knowledge and beauty abounding in the Old Testament books to which Jesus is so often referring.  The Bible study is also a great way to meet people and grow as we share our own faith experiences and ideas.

Wednesday Nights in the Fireside Room
The bible study begins September 9 and meets every Wednesday night from 7-9pm in the Fireside Room.  The study is 8 weeks long and will run through October 28.  Childcare can be provided upon request.  There is about 30 minutes of nightly reading from the Bible and a study companion.  The study companion is $15 and can be purchased at church.  If you are interested but have questions, please contact Tim Bechtol at Bechtol97@yahoo.com or (614) 271-3635.

Wednesday Daytime in the Chapel
The same study will be offered during the daytime facilitated by Rev. Colleen Ogle.  Disciple Bible Study, 8-week Introduction to the Old Testament will be offered Wednesdays, 10:00 am -  noon in the Chapel  Starting Wednesday, September 9 and meeting each week until Wednesday, October 28th. You can sign up for either class and purchase the study book (which is required for the class) at The Welcome Desk August 30 or September 6.
