Trial of Jesus
April 23, 2017, 12:00 pm Jesus of Nazareth on Trial The King Avenue Youth will be presenting a trial of Jesus to determine whether he should be crucified for crimes such as insurrection and others. Court-room style proceeding with a judge, prosecutors and defense attorneys, witnesses and YOU are the jury. All are welcome to join us for this interesting perspective on one of the most influential decisions of criminal execution in our world’s history. Jurors Needed During Lent the youth in Sunday School have been learning about the ministry of Jesus of Nazareth and the dramatic events that led to his arrest, trial, and crucifixion almost 2000 years ago—events that are among the most significant in human history. As part of their exploration of those events, the youth are re-trying the case against Jesus, and all are invited to come and witness the live mock trial. Be prepared to pay attention. The audience will also serve as the jury! Light refreshments will be served between noon - 12:30. |
