CORE Youth Center - A virtual place for youth.

CORE Youth Center

CORE Youth Center is a virtual place for youth! Are you looking for online faith resources for your youth (6th to 12th grades)? King Avenue UMC's Children and Youth Education Program created an inclusive and affirming website to fit this need. Think of this as a home base as you stretch, grow, and explore your faith and your identity as a Jesus follower. What you believe, think, and feel will change during your Middle and High School years. And your journey will not end when you graduate. Our faith journeys continue for our whole lives.

What is this place?

CORE Youth Center is a virtual place for you! Think of this as a home base as you stretch, grow, and explore your faith and your identity as a Jesus follower. What you believe, think, and feel will change during your Middle School and High School years. And your journey will not end when you graduate. Our faith journeys continue for our whole lives.

CORE* reminds us that we need to

  • Connect: develop relationships with God, ourselves, and others in healthy ways
  • Own: take responsibility for our words and actions
  • Reveal: be authentic
  • Empower: encourage and support others

We hope you'll find a safe space here. Be curious. Ask questions. Wonder what God is like. Wonder what is means to be a beloved child of God. Wonder what it looks like to love your neighbor. Wonder what it looks like to love yourself.

And, above all, be kind. To yourself. To the folks you live with. To your community.

*The acronym C.O.R.E. comes from this curriculum: https://www.youthministrypartners.com/studies/core/
