King Avenue United Methodist Church celebrates Pride Month, and we celebrates YOU as a beloved child of God. We'd love to have you celebrate Pride Month with us. Here are our activities in a nutshell.
“Bi the Way”
Tuesday, May 28 from 7:00-8:30
"Bisexual" is a complex, nuanced, and often-misunderstood piece of one's identity. Interact with our panelists for an evening of reflection and growth.
June is Pride Month in Worship
Each Sunday in June, King Avenue will be celebrating our LGBTQIA+ siblings in worship through music and Pride witnesses. Join us, and bring a friend!
Pride Tie Dye and Sign Making
Sunday, June 9 at 10:00 and Noon
Get ready for Pride by tie-dying a t-shirt with Rainbow Connections. Bring a white t-shirt. Tie-dye and art supplies will be provided. You can make a sign for Pride, too!
Interfaith Prayer Service
Tuesday, June 11 at 7:00pm (at Stonewall Columbus)
LOVEboldly and Stonewall Columbus invite all to a prayer service at Stonewall Columbus.
RMN Pride Worship
Friday, June 14 at 7:00pm (at Bethel International UMC)
United Methodists have a LOT to celebrate this year! Join other Reconciling Ministry Network churches to worship and celebrate God’s love for ALL people.
Pride March
Saturday, June 15, 10:30am Step-off (Downtown)
Join King Avenue to march in the Pride Parade. We are limited to 125 walkers, so please register on Realm or email andy@kingave.org.
Second Chance Prom – A Pride Dance for ALL!
Friday, June 28, 7:00-9:00pm
Rainbow Connections is throwing a Second Chance Prom for everyone who missed out on prom and anyone who just wants to dance and have fun. A $10 donation is suggested but not required.
